Sports Medical Certificates; The Cheap and Easy Way to Race in Italy.

They say ‘all roads lead to Rome’’. With a history spanning over 28 centuries, and so many cultural and historical highlights to see and explore; such as the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Trevi Fountain, and the Sistine Chapel; it is easy to see why Rome is one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations. The entire historic city centre has also been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

However,  you might want to make your trip to ‘the eternal city’ a little bit more unforgettable. So, what better way could there be to see Rome in all its glory, then by participating in the 2021 edition of the Acea Run Rome the Marathon? With the mighty Colosseum, as a majestic backdrop to the start and finish of the race; you too can conquer Rome!

Cervia, on the coast of Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, is an ever popular seaside town. Also known as the “city of salt”, for its fine, white sands and the shallow water of its beaches. In the 1800s, Cervia became an important tourist destination, and in 1912, the garden city of Milano Maritttima was created. This made Cervia boom as one of the most glamorous seaside towns in Italy. The area, not only features outstanding natural beauty, but has a long history of sporting and cultural excellence.

In recent years, the town’s sporting pedigree contributed to its selection as the host of Italy’s first Long Distance Triathlon Race. This epic event has since been combined with both Olympic and Middle Distance races all held over the same weekend.  The result? You can now combine a holiday to one of the most sought after Italian destinations with the ultimate weekend of triathlon racing, where an absolutely electric atmosphere is virtually guaranteed!

Sports Medical Certification

As we all undoubtedly know, you should always make sure that you are fit enough to take on the challenge posed by any sporting event. Many organised sports events, particularly those in Italy and France, require some form of medical certification to state that you are physically fit to participate. For marathons and triathlon events in Italy, there are a number of options to select from, to prove your eligibility to run the race. Each of these options is outlined below. Please note, if you wish to participate in an event, and fail to specify an entry option, option 3 is the default.
