Running will change your life for the better, if you let it. Apart from making your healthier, happier and more ambitious, you will also function better and you’ll even find yourself eating better in order to fuel those miles. We love hearing from runners about what motivates them to run and the benefit it brings them. In this new featured blog series ‘Megan’s Miles’, Megan, a recent convert, will take us on her first marathon journey. Then after the battle, in which he had been a combatant, r

But we still wanted to look at our roots and what we’re about in our communities. All shapes and sizes, young and old, everybody gets involved in our events. Stacey Copeland talks about her road to recovery!

Image
We caught up with our Community Ambassador and professional boxer, Stacey Copeland to find out about her road to recovery after her recent injury. Stacey is a very inspirational athlete who has worked extremely hard to encourage people to become more active and she is a fantastic role model for women in sport and for future generations. Since I’ve recently had surgery on my hand, I decided to write this blog about the things I’ve found useful when dealing with the misery of injuries! Injuries are talked about a great deal, and whether it’s as serious as a broken bone which needs surgery or if it’s a nuisance niggle, injuries concern everybody from elite athletes to people who do little exercise. In addition, there are plenty of ways to get help with an injury, many shops sell products to alleviate pain or assist with recovery, and then there are specialists such as physios, chiropractors, sports therapists ….the list goes on! There are even a gazillion videos on youtube with demonst

Rhianna shares her race goals for 2019!

Image
We caught up with our Community Ambassador, Rhianna Parkinson to find out about what the races she is planning to target for 2019. Rhianna is a very inspirational athlete who has gone from sitting on the couch, doing little exercise to competing at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in less than three years.   “Wow I can’t believe it’s been 3 months since I completed the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in South Africa!” So what have I been up to… I absolutely love competing and training for races so I just couldn’t wait to start planning my 2019 season as soon as possible. South Africa really did inspire me to travel more with races and it was actually a lot easier and stress-free than I thought it would be. I thought about my goal for next year which is to qualify and compete in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships 2019 in Nice, France and realised I wanted to qualify early to give me lots of time to prepare. I wanted a course that suited my strengths and I also wanted to
