Sports Tours International geared up for new partnership

Sports Tours International has partnered up with Sixt rent a car as the Official Rental Vehicle Provider for the UKFast City of Salford 10K for a second year.

A leading vehicle rental company in the North-West and across the UK, Sixt rent a car will be the official provider of vehicles for the popular 10k running event which takes place on Sunday 4th September.

Commenting on the partnership, Beth Roberts Manchester Branch Manager for Sixt rent a car commented: “Sixt rent a car are delighted to be partnering up with Sports Tours International for the second year in a row. Last year was a great success and we are excited to see the results of 2016.

“Sixt rent a car are happy to encourage health and fitness within the local community, and feel this is a great event to support. We will provide all the car and van hire requirements for the UKFast City of Salford 10k and hope that with the help of this partnership they can make this event an even greater success.”

The vehicles provided will help to transport the large amount of equipment needed for the events, including sound equipment, race goody bags and the event marketing material and merchandise.

Kevin Harmer UK Events & Sponsorship Manager for the race, added: “It’s great that we have secured a partnership with Sixt rent a car for another year, their knowledge and expertise will ensure that we receive a fantastic service for the race.”

The UKFast City of Salford 10k route starts on the MediaCityUK Piazza and heads eastwards on closed roads along Broadway, allowing runners to get a fast start.
After a tour of Trafford Park, the route comes back across the MediaCityUK Bridge onto the Salford side, before finishing in front of all the cheering friends, family and supporters in the MediaCity UK Piazza.
