Nokia Lumia 1020 with its 41 MP was popular for its camera and using that it has come up with an innovation where it can be used as a Microscope to analyse DNA sequences.

The 2019 Strade Bianche – Our weekend at Europe’s most southern northern classic

Here at Sports Tours International we are mad about the one day classics and we couldn’t wait for the cycling season to get on the way again in 2019. How to ride (survive) the Cobbles

Living “up North” in England I’ve ridden cobbles plenty of times, before I ever decided to attempt the Paris Roubaix. Most of my experience has been on cobbled climbs in or around Halifax. Trooper Lane in Halifax. More  Koppenberg, than Arenberg. Shibden Wall, Trooper Lane and Gibb lane are really more suited to practice for Flanders, rather than Paris-Roubaix. Climbing on slippy cobbles is definitely easier than riding slippy flat cobbles at time-trial speeds. So it was fair to say, that I was quite nervous the first time I hit the Paris – Roubaix Cobbles. I arrived in Roubaix a couple of days before the event, so rather then just spinning the legs I decided to take “the unknown” out of the event, by riding the cobbles beforehand. I planned a route on the normal roads straight to the Troupe d’ Arenberg so I could kick off with a 5 star sector. Alongside our range of cycling and running holidays across the world, Sports Tours International also organise a wide rnage of UK running events, including the UKFast We Love Manchester 10k, The UKFast City of Salford 10k, The Alder Hey 10k, The Preston City 10k, The Tour of Tameside & more! But did you know that each and every one of our races welcomes participants from all over the globe. In 2017 at the Tour of Tameside, we were delighted to see two runners travel all the way from China to compete in the famous 4 day back-to-back endurance event as well as a former Tameside resident returning to the region from Australia. For this June’s event we have received confirmation of four runners travelling to run and meet Ron Hill MBE, our Ambassador, from Berlin in Germany. Actually from Ron Hill AC Berlin!
