The Magic of Disney

runDisney events offer the chance to combine a family holiday with running alongside the likes of Mickey and
Minnie Mouse. As an official operator, we can guarantee your entry…

Disneyland® Paris Magic Run Weekend

After winning the women’s race at the inaugural Disneyland® Paris Half Marathon Val d’Europe last year, runDisney ambassador Paula Radcliffe said of the experience: “This is close to my heart, because you can have
a family day out but also introduce running to the kids. Donald Duck is my favourite, but I’ve never run in fancy dress, yet.” Paula’s comments sum up the great appeal of runDisney. Not only do the events allow you to take the whole family along, they also give you access to the Disney’s theme parks to enjoy before or after the races.
Paula was one of 12,000 runners who took to the streets of Paris for the event last autumn. Following on from this success, the event is returning to the French capital on 24 September 2017.

Though Paula didn’t dress up, wearing a costume is very much encouraged by organisers, with the emphasis being on fun rather than competition. Those entering can expect to see life-affirming scenes such as Pluto running alongside Goofy, while Sleeping Beauty overtakes Cinderella.Participants will run through the spectacular Disney® Parks down Hollywood Boulevard, and past the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ before going along Main Street, USA ® (though they’ll still technically be in France) past Sleeping Beauty Castle and through the countryside and villages that surround the Disney® Parks, before circling back to Disney Village® en route to finish line.

Silver anniversary
2018 sees Walt Disney World® Marathon, a slightly more established event, celebrate its 25th anniversary. The race gives you the chance to run a marathon through one of the most magical settings in the world and meet your childhood heroes along the way.

The run is held at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida and, as well as a marathon, features a half marathon, 10k, 5k, goofy and Dopey Challenge. The Walt Disney World® Marathon will see runners go through
all four of the parks – Magic Kingdom®, Animal Kingdom®, Disney’s Hollywood Studios® and Epcot®.

Royal rumble
Also in Orlando, aspiring princesses can strut their stuff at the Disney® Princess Half Marathon weekend in February. Billed as ‘a race worthy of a princess’, the women’s themed half takes participants through Magic
Kingdom® and Epcot®.

The Empire strides back
Speaking of princesses, runners will get a chance to embrace their inner Princess Leia or Luke Skywalker – at the two Star Wars themed events that Disney hold. In January, the Star Wars™ Half Marathon – The Light Side will return to Disneyland® Resort in Anaheim, California. For those more drawn to Darth Vader, the Dark Side version is held
in April at Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida.

Wining ways
The resort also serves up a great selection of races with the Disneyland® Half Marathon Weekend from 31 August to 3 September and the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend on 2–5 November.
