Stacey Copeland talks Tameside

Image
With only four weeks to go until the Tour of Tameside I was excited to attend the Talk of the Tour event last week. I have never been before and it was great to see all the memorabilia, footage, and meet some amazing runners and long-time supporters of the tour. As a resident of Tameside I am passionate about the tour as I know what a fantastic event it is for our borough, and I am very proud to be an ambassador for the company who has brought it back! I think an obvious highlight of the evening was listening to the inspirational Ron Hill as he shared stories from his racing days and talked about how the Tour first began. I run every morning before work and it sets me up for the day both mentally and physically, in fact

The hotels buffet breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The journey to the expo to register took about 40 minutes by metro, which included a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower as you cross the River Seine. You could have easily spent all day at the expo if you had wanted, they had a great range of running gear, merchandise and memor
